千山鳥飛絕
A thousand mountains, no birds in flight,

萬境人蹤滅
Ten thousand paths, no trace of human sight.

孤江蓑笠翁
On a lonely river, an old man in straw cloak and hat,

獨釣寒江雪
Fishes alone amidst the snowy night.
